Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Plain-language summary. IWR collects the information needed to deliver your readiness assessment, simulations, and certification. We store it securely, we do not sell it, and athletes enrolled by an institution should expect that institution (their coaches and compliance staff) to be able to see their readiness results. This page explains the details.

1. Who We Are

IWR (Income and Wealth Readiness) is operated by DataNav Solutions, LLC ("DataNav," "we," "us"). IWR is a behavioral financial readiness platform for college and professional athletes, accessible at iwreadiness.com. For privacy questions, contact kelly@datanavsolutions.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you or your institution provide

Information generated as you use IWR

3. How Your Data Is Stored

IWR uses a hybrid storage model. Some information is stored locally in your browser for speed and offline responsiveness. Information needed for cross-device login, coach rosters, certification records, and institutional reporting is also stored in our secure cloud database hosted by Supabase. This means an athlete enrolled by an institution can log in from any device, and authorized coaches and compliance staff at that institution can view that athlete's readiness results.

We do not store payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or banking credentials. IWR is an educational readiness tool, not a financial account.

4. How We Use Your Information

5. AI-Generated Reports

Your readiness report is generated using an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) accessed through a secure server-side proxy controlled by DataNav. Your assessment and simulation data are sent to that service solely to generate your report. The AI provider does not retain your data for training, and no credentials or secret keys are exposed in the platform.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:

7. Student Records and FERPA

When IWR is used by an educational institution, athlete records created through the platform may constitute education records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In that context, DataNav acts as a "school official" with a legitimate educational interest, processing data under the direction of the institution. Institutions remain responsible for obtaining any consents their own policies and applicable law require.

8. Minors

Individual (self-enrolled) accounts are intended for users 18 and older. IWR may be used by athletes under 18 only through an institution and only with the consent required by that institution and by applicable law, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state student-privacy laws. Where a participating athlete is a minor, the institution is responsible for securing verifiable parental or guardian consent before the athlete provides any information. DataNav does not knowingly collect information directly from children without that institutional consent in place.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. DataNav complies with applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (CDPA).

To exercise any right, contact kelly@datanavsolutions.com. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and resolve it within 30 days, or as required by applicable law. Athletes enrolled by an institution may need to direct certain requests through that institution.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the platform and to maintain certification and compliance records, then delete or de-identify it. Institutions may request deletion of their athletes' records consistent with their contract and applicable law.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections, access controls, and a server-side architecture that keeps sensitive credentials off the client. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to institutions.
